How to Let Someone Down Easy... (Or not so easy)

So, as I was thinking about what I wanted to blog about tonight... I thought I'd put up an example of some of the stuff I've been hit with since my relocation to Singleville... You be the judge... Rejecting a person's advances doesn't have to be unpleasant. I think I was tough, but steadfast.

Man: how are you tonight?
psychoanalytic: I'm doing pretty well. and you?
Man: im doing ok
psychoanalytic: great
psychoanalytic: I'm trying to come up with a blog for tonight about being
single
Man: I've never seen you on here before?
psychoanalytic: on where?
Man: bp
psychoanalytic: lol oh really?
Man: I mean yes, if i had trust me we would have talked by
now
psychoanalytic: well I've been a part of BP since 19... and I changed my
bp name a few years ago... but I rarely got on to the site because it was
getting trashy... and so now I'm back on it a bit more
psychoanalytic: a little of the class has come back to the site
Man: oh ok. so tell me why you are single?
psychoanalytic: thats an odd question
Man: why?
psychoanalytic: because to me thats like asking why are you black
psychoanalytic: would you ask a married person why they are married?
psychoanalytic: lol
Man: I mean look are you single by choice or have you not
find the right person
psychoanalytic: by choice
Man: thats what i meant
psychoanalytic: I know what you meant
psychoanalytic: I'm just giving you a hard time
Man: but would u be interested in getting to know
someone and seeing where it goes?
psychoanalytic: I do that everyday
psychoanalytic: I meet new people daily
psychoanalytic: just in my daily life from work to school to wherever
Man: im talking about getting to know someone as in a
male on a different level sweety
psychoanalytic: I know what you mean
psychoanalytic: and I can tell you this
psychoanalytic: I'm not dating or looking for a relationship.
psychoanalytic: no I don't have a man in hiding
psychoanalytic: I'm just enjoying Joy time right now
psychoanalytic: I've been in and out of stuff and I'd like some time to
myself this year... so call it a vacation
psychoanalytic: I love meeting people and hanging out... maybe
grabbing a cup of coffee or going bowlin
psychoanalytic: but nothing romantic
Man: ok so then it was nice talking
psychoanalytic: likewise
psychoanalytic: happy new year
